Marvi Memon of PML (Q) said that coalition partners of the government are trying to sell themselves on higher prices. She said that the dialogue between PPPP and MQM is for power sharing terms and not for the interest of the people of Pakistan. She said that people who created problems in the country are solely responsible to resolve them. She lamented that opposition parties are not united in the parliament otherwise they could give tough time to the government. She said that democratic process should never derail and it is in the best interest of people of Pakistan. She said that current government should complete its five years turn.
Senator Safdar Abbasi said that Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman is hurt by the government's action to sack Azam Sawati. He called MQM "hard bargainers". In Sindh province, Abbasi said, PPPP does not need MQM support to form the government so they are taking hard stance against MQM. He said MQM is trying to become national party and go beyond Karachi and Hyderabad politics. He said that there has been a huge gape created between political parties and people of Pakistan. He called it "depoliticizing" Pakistan in last few years. He said that there is a leadership gap in people's party after the death of Benazir Bhutto. He said that there is no common ground between coalition partners instead PPPP has different kind of deals with every coalition partner.
He said that eventually MQM will quit the government but it will take some time before they decide.
Rasheed Godel of MQM said that his party always criticized the government approach on national issues, despte the fact that they are coalition partner. He said that President Zardari has promised to consider MQM apprehensions and his party believes in it. He said that the workers of MQM have verbal agreement with Altaf Hussain that he will only come back to Pakistan when they will allow him to. He claimed that Altaf Hussain consult his party workers on different issues and take their opinion. He said that his party presented a nine point's formula to resolve the problems country is facing right now but it has been ignored by the PPPP government.
Sheikh Rasheed said everybody wants change in the government but it will take some time. He said if PML (N) take tough stand against government in Islamabad it will face similar problems in Punjab. He said that he had a detailed discussion with Altaf Hussain on various issues.
