TOPIC- CREATION OF NEW PROVINCES

SARTAJ AZIZ OF PML (N) said that PML-N is not against the creation of new provinces but if they are formed on administrative reasons. He said that a national commission should be formed to determine the process to create new provinces. He said that there are various factors to create new provinces and they need heed before taking any decision.
AJAZ UL HAQ OF PML-Z said that by changing the name of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa we laid down the foundation for Hazara province. He said that Bahawalpur was a province in the past and can be reestablished on administrative reasons. He said that division of Sindh and Balochistan is a difficult task. He said that people of Sindh and Balochistan get very upset on the question of division of their provinces. He said that many changes have been taken place in Pakistan since 1947. He said that he will like to devolve administrative authority to division level. He said that the demand of Hazara province has started the debate of new provinces on linguistic basis. He said that Peoples Party is supporting the issue of Sraikee province to corner PML-N.
SYED JALAL MAHMOOD SHAH OF SUP said that in his opinion there is no room in the constitution to create new provinces. He said that some political parties are debating about new provinces for some personal reasons. He said that since 1947 some people are trying to differentiate between rural and urban Sindhi. He said that Sindh was merged into Pakistan as a unit at the time of independence. He said that he does not consider Peoples Party a party of Sindh. He said that Peoples Party is something to use for and every body is using it. He said that he does not consider the demand of Sraikee province right. He said that the demand of Hazara province is being made for some well thought reasons. He said that he only recognize the division of 1947 at the time of independence of Pakistan. He said that the division of Sindh is not acceptable to the people of the province.
IQBAL ZAFAR JHAGRA OF PML-N said that the demand of the new provinces is not easy and we should not be sentimental on the issue. He said that we need to see the impact of the new provinces on the country. He said that Peoples Party is demanding Sraikee province to cover its failure of last more than three years of its government.
AFRASYAB KHATTAK OF ANP said that a new province consist of Pashtoon population should be created in Balochistan. He said that he has no objection to consider the demand of Hazara province in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.
KHALID ANWAR A LAWYER said that two third majority of national assembly, senate and provincial assembly is required to meet the demand of new province. He said that there is a provision to create new provinces is present in the constitution.
