MIAN IFTIKHAR HUSSAIN OF ANP said that we are fighting war against terrorism but we did not address the basic problems. He said that during Zia Ul Haq era we trained people in the name of Islam for Jihad. He said that war against terrorism is correct. He said that there is lack of confidence between Pakistan, Afghanistan and America
On war against terrorism. He said that some people argue that war against terrorism is not our war. He said that even if war against terrorism is not ours still we need to fight it. He said that it is not an ordinary war; it is world's third gorilla war. He said that Pakistan should share intelligence information with America and Afghanistan to fight this war successfully. He said that we made mistake to break Soviet Union and make America the only super power of the world. Talking about four Pakistani's abducted in Somalia he said that the release of these people is a question of the dignity of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan should raise this issue internationally.
SENATOR LASHKARI RAISANI OF PPPP said that the powers who destroyed Afghanistan and Somalia are now working against Pakistan. He said that Afghan refugees should go back to their country as soon as possible. He said that we are fighting war against terrorism because of the corrupt regimes of Pakistan. He said that we are fighting this war for one and half billion dollars aid from America. He said that we need to fight against corruption along with terrorism. Talking about four Pakistani's abducted in Somalia he said that it is the responsibility of Pakistan government to make sure the release of its citizens. He said that government should use all diplomatic and intelligence resources for the release of four Pakistanis. He promised to do every thing in his power for the release of four Pakistanis kidnapped in Somalia.
SENATOR TALHA MAHMOOD OF JUI said that the result of 2008 elections was a confirmation of rejection of Pervez Musharaf policies. He said that war against terrorism is not ours it is American war. He said that one American senator was very upset to loose 1500 American soldiers in this war. He said that he told the American senator that Pakistan has lost more than thirty thousand people in this war. He said that we failed to make a policy in the interest of Pakistan in war against terrorism. He said that this war has hit hard our national unity. He said that war against terrorism is a blind war and America is about to run away from our region. He promised that he will put his utmost efforts for the release of four Pakistanis abducted in Somalia.
