TAFAZAL RIZVI LEGAL ADVISOR PCB said that the evidence against the Pakistan cricket players in spot fixing case proved their claim of innocence wrong. He said that the court showed leniency towards the players otherwise the punishment could be harsher. He said that PCB warned the players to stay away from tainted people. He said that the players always denied any connection with Mazhar Majeed. He said that the case against Danish Kaneria is not settled yet so he is not considered for selection for Pakistani team. He said that Akmal brothers were selected for the Pakistani team after their names were cleared by the judge.
MAJID BHATTI SPORTS JOURNALIST said that the justice is served by the punishment to three players. He said that people of Pakistan strongly support the guilty verdict against the players. He said that PCB did not handle the spot fixing case properly. He said that Ajaz Butt was a self centered person and ran PCB like a one man show. He said that Mazhar Majeed was seen with Pakistani players since 2010. He said that on 2010 tour of Australia Mazhar Majeed was staying with Salman Butt in his hotel room. He said that ICC says that PCB was supposed to take action against the players itself. He said that all other controversial players have been reselected except Danish Kaneria. He said that Wahab Riaz and Kamran Akmal are still under suspicion for corruption and the investigations against them are continuing. He said that the three years tenure of Ajaz Butt as PCB chairman was a dark time in the history of Pakistan cricket.
AMIR SOHAIL FORMER CAPTAIN PAKISTAN CRICKET TEAM said that the selection committee selects the team from the given names by PCB. He said that it is cricket board responsibility to inform selection committee about the players not eligible for selection. He said that the corruption in cricket is going on under the nose of ICC. He said that ICC once clear a player from the corruption charges and then start investigations all over again. He said that it is time to bring reforms in the support of cricket. He said that abolishing of the departmental cricket proved damaging for Pakistan cricket. He said that ICC has been failed to control the cricket affairs. He said that any country can deny touring a certain country and ICC is helpless.
KHALID RANJHA A LAWYER said that it is noticeable that the verdict against the players is not unanimous. He said that players can appeal against the decision and many people are set free by the virtue of appeal.
JALAL UD DIN FORMER PAKISTAN CRICKET PLAYER said that PCB never showed any will to correct the affairs of Pakistan cricket. He said that there was suspicion of wrong doing in the T/20 tournament in Pakistan too. He said that some punishments were announced in the past against some players but later on were withdrawn. He said that the team management under whom spot fixing scandal was broke should be removed by PCB
